Analyze your Self-Talk

This is Day 7 in the Makeover Your Mindset Challenge. You are at a pivotable point.   Now it’s time to reflect on what you have learned about yourself and go deeper. As you seek to develop a new way of thinking, the next step is to Analyze your self-talk.

This lesson is to help you become aware of your inner dialog.  It’s common practice to speak to ourselves, but how much of that conversation is supportive and motivating?  It is also common for most of those self-conversations to be self-sabotage with statements like, that won’t work, I can’t do that, I don’t have time, no one cares, I don’t have it, that was stupid, you’ve got to be crazy, get real, stop fooling yourself, this is just not worth it, and it goes on and on.

Does your “Talk Track” need an adjustment?

Assignment: Reflection of Self Dialog

Starting now, I want you to analyze your self-talk.  Take some time to reflect on your most resent self-conversations. Do you hear your critical voice in your mind?

Your “Talk Track” can be adjusted.

Let’s end with a positive statement.  Speak aloud:  I can adjust my self talk to be less critical.
